Japanese Indigo dye plant class coming up! I’ll be teaching about starting, growing, and harvesting plants for natural dyeing this Saturday April 27 at @ruby_stitches Fiber Farm just south of the Twin Cities! Registration is still open, so all you Minnesota people who are interested please let us know 💙😊

You folks have the best suggestions, thank you! 💙 The majority of you voted for further dyeing - mostly more blue dips, or a combo of blue and brown. Some folks reminded me what a joy subtle colorwork can be, and that the lack of contrast may not be a bad thing. A few clever friends suggested I try the colorwork pattern - and @jan_knits recommended putting the blue skein on a niddy noddy to keep things neat and tidy. Thanks!

I’d like opinions please! I’m making @knit.love.wool ‘s #forestlandsweater , and I dyed this Shetland yarn with my homegrown indigo as the contrast color. I loooove the blue, but I’m not sure it’s called contrasty enough. (Swipe for black and white pic). My options include:
